9 Days Tour Package to Ghana Africa

This tour is packed with nothing but fun activities and entertainments. You will get to visit many cultural and historical sites. You'll also meet the ever friendly people of Ghana who are always willing to share some interesting experiences and stories with anyone who cares to listen. In these 9 days alone, you'll get to do a lot of interest activities like birding, hiking, having fun at beaches, watching culture unfold right before your eyes, join in dances and sing-along's, watch the wildlife creatures in their habitats and do even more. In fact, you will experience an up-close and personal time with nature.

Day 1: Accra- Bolgatanga – Sirigu – Paga

A tour guide will be waiting for you at Tamale where you will be taken first to your base for the duration of the tour at Bolgatanga. A 34km drive to Sirigu follows the checking in. Sirigu is popular for the prominence of its people in pottery, basket weaving and wall decorations. You will get to spend time with the craftswomen and learn the little you can about these crafts. You can even get yourself beautiful souvenirs from these places. Right after your short stay in Sirigu comes a visit to Paga, the land where crocodiles are a part of their daily lives. Crocodiles are said to have some traditional importance to them, so these people never kill this animal. From here, you'll return to your accommodation site for dinner and to get ready for the next day.

Day 2: Bolga – Mole National Park

Get ready for a long drive to Mole National Park. You'll have lunch at Tamale and may even make a stop to see West Africa's oldest mosque at Laribanga. Mole Motel is your final destination where you'll have time to freshen up and enjoy the beautiful sunset from the nice viewpoints at Mole Motel. Dinner and sleep come afterwards.

Day 3: Mole National Park

An early walk or drive in the park gives you an enjoyable time watching the wildlife creatures on the park. You will get to see animals like buffaloes, baboons, antelopes, elephants, hundreds of birds and many other animals. You will visit Mognori eco-village later in the day where you will be treated to a guided village walk and a canoe Safari on the Mole River.  You will be made to return in time for the Jeep safari drive.

Day 4: Mole National Park – Kintampo Waterfalls – Boabeng Fiema

We will take you to visit Kintampo waterfalls as early as 8am. You have to go down 120 steps if you want to really see the magnificent beauty of the falls up-close. You will visit Boabeng-Fiema Monkey Sanctuary where monkeys are treated with great respect. You will be amazed to find that the people have a cemetery where they bury their dead monkeys after some funeral rites. You will end the day with a visit to Techiman in preparation for the next day.

Day 5: Techiman- Kumasi

An early breakfast at Techiman amd then you will be on your way to Kumasi. On getting there, you will visit the largest open market in the whole of West Africa, Ketejia market. People from as far as the neighboring countries come to trade here. A final visit will be paid to the Ashanti Royal palace. Here, your tour guide will tell you about the rich history of the Ashantis. The day gets even more interesting with a visit to the National Culture Center where you'll find traditional and cultural artifacts for sale. These will make great additions to your souvenir collection. Day 6: Kumasi – Cape Coast You will leave Kumasi in the morning for Cape Coast to visit Cape Coast Castle. The castle has an interesting history and your tour guide will do well to tell you the story of the castle. Depending on how much time you still have before sunset, you may get to watch the sunset from the awesome viewpoint of the Fort Williams Lighthouse.

Day 7: Cape Coast – Kakum- Beach Time

Up next is a visit to Kakum National Park where you will enjoy a thrilling walk on the canopy walkway before a nature walk in the forest. As you move around in the forest, your tour guides will fill you in on the economic, medicinal and cultural relevance of the plants in the forest. Nothing beats a nice time at the beach. You will have the rest of the day to yourself on the beach, basking in the evening sunlight before getting to watch the magnificent sun fall behind the mighty sea at sunset.

Day 8: Kokrobite, Fishing Community

The rise of the sun will lead you to Kokrobite beach village with an amazing beachside accommodation. Every weekend is for merry making at Kokrobite beach village. Food, music, dance and other forms of entertainment are never scarce here. A visit will be paid to a nearby fishing community later in the day where you will watch fishermen preparing their nets for fishing.

Day 9: Kokrobite- Accra – Departure

Some more time will be spent on the beach as you prepare for the final lap of your tour. You will leave for Accra but make a stop at Osu for lunch before proceeding to the Independence Square and the art market at Accra where you can get yourself some more souvenirs. Finally, your tour guide will take you back to the airport for your departure.
